About
I’m a forward-deployed AI governance expert at Credo AI, where I work with healthcare and other highly regulated organizations to put AI governance into practice. Before Credo AI, I directed the innovation program at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, which I joined as a Gov21 Innovation Fellow with the Partnership for Public Service, and worked at Blue Shield of California.
I started out as a music professor with a side project. In 2008 it was featured on The Today Show, and I became an entrepreneur more or less overnight. I went on to co-found two e-commerce companies, both acquired. More than 70 million Americans have used products I’ve built.
I teach at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, where I received the Dean’s Award for Service in 2021, and I live in Los Angeles.
